Course outline View

This 100% online delivery course provides opportunities to prepare qualified automotive collision repair apprentices for the Auto Body and Collision Technician Interprovincial Red Seal Exam. Qualified students will be those approved for the SkilledTradesBC Challenge pathway, OR those requiring additional training under advisement from SkilledTradesBC after unsuccessful IP exam attempts.

This unique course starts with a pre-assessment to determine the current knowledge of each individual student followed by an instructor-lead topic selection assignment to determine the best study path for the individual student. Self-study content is available for key topics from all four levels the SkilledTradesBC, Auto Body and Collision Technician Program technical training.

The student workload expectation is 5-8 hours per week with 12-13 weeks (may vary) to complete the assignments, self-studies and to complete the final exam.

Students achieving a VCC grade of 70% or greater receive a VCC Certificate of Completion. Note: successful completion of the course is not required for eligibility to write the Interprovincial Red Seal Exam. Students must arrange for their exam with SkilledTradesBC.
