Once you have successfully completed your program and all of your grades have been entered by your instructors, the graduation audit will begin. The graduation audit can take up to 6 weeks to complete. If you are eligible to graduate, you will be awarded the credential and automatically receive your program completion letter and your electronic transcript by email from ieservices@vcc.ca. You can use both documents to submit your Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) application.
Apply for graduation
Depending on your programs, you may be required to apply to graduate.
Graduating from full-time continuing studies Programs
Students who have completed all required courses from the following Full-Time Continuing Studies Programs will be required to apply for graduation by submitting the Continuing Studies Application for Graduation Form [LINK].
List of full-time continuing studies programs
- Cybersecurity Governance, Risk and Compliance Post-Degree Diploma
- Fashion Design and Production Diploma
- Network Technology, Administration and Security Post-Degree Diploma
- Optician Diploma
Graduating from other full-time programs
For all other full-time programs not listed above, apply for graduation by submitting the application for graduation form [LINK] if you are not graduating with your original cohort.
Graduation audit
Here is the process to be assessed for graduation:
- All grades must have been entered into VCC’s system by your instructors. You can view your grades (unofficial transcript) through myVCC by referring to the step-by-step instructions.
- Depending on your program, you may need to officially apply for graduation.
- Full-Time Continuing Studies Programs: You are required to submit a CS Application for Graduation Form.
- Other Full-Time Programs:
- If you are graduating with your original cohort, you will be automatically assessed for graduation after your grades have been entered.
- If you are not graduating with your original cohort (i.e. as an insert student with a different cohort, due to failing classes or taking a leave outside of the scheduled breaks), you are required to submit the application for graduation form [LINK].
- If you are graduating from a university transfer program (i.e. University Transfer Certificate or Associate of Science), you are required to submit the application for graduation form [LINK].
PGWP letter and electronic transcripts

Having a hold on your student account will prevent you from receiving any letters. You are responsible for ensuring that you do not have any holds on your account. To avoid a delay in getting your PGWP letters, please contact ieservices@vcc.ca as soon as you clear your holds.
