Most programs at VCC are offered in a cohort model, where students are registered into courses by VCC, and will be expected to follow a progression plan according to the program curriculum. Students are typically not given the flexibility to choose a heavier or lighter course load.
Class schedules
Future students can view sample program schedules listed on the program pages as examples. The exact class times may vary depending on sections. As most VCC programs run in cohorts, students will be expected to attend classes in the cohort schedules that are assigned to them.
VCC students may check their class schedules on their myVCC accounts after registration, which usually takes place before classes begin.
Registration and fees
VCC typically registers all full-time students in their first term of studies.
New students
- Newly admitted students who meet the important deadlines for document submission will be registered by VCC.
- Once registered, VCC will email students to check their class schedules on their myVCC account, before their programs begin.
- If there are any outstanding fees payable, students will receive email notifications about the tuition fees owing and payment deadlines.
Returning students
- Returning students in good academic standing may continue their studies at VCC. Students will either receive a notification to register on their own, or be registered into classes by VCC.
- Once registered, students can check their class schedules on their myVCC account.
- If there are any outstanding fees payable, students will receive email notifications about the tuition fees owing and payment deadlines.
University transfer students
VCC will register University Transfer students in the first term. Starting from the second term, students will register themselves online after discussing course planning with an international student advisor.
