Admission decisions
Depending on the status of your application, the admission decisions may vary.
Incomplete application
An incomplete application is when there are outstanding documents and the requirements are not met.
- Submit outstanding documents by email, if requested.
- Receive an interview invitation for competitive selection programs [LINK], if all other requirements are met.
Complete application
A complete application is when all documents are submitted and admission requirements are met.
- If a seat is available, a Letter of Offer will be issued. Conditional admission LINK] may be available.
- If a seat is not available, a waitlist notification will be issued.
Accept your offer
- Receive and review the Letter of Offer
- Pay the international tuition deposit
- Receive and review the Letter of Acceptance (LOA), and the Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) if applicable
- Meet important deadlines
- Submit proof of study permit approval
- Submit proof of satisfying conditions
- Prepare to arrive

I’m planning to take IELTS. Can I get a conditional offer first and submit my IELTS report later?
If you do not meet the English requirements, studying at ILAC or ILSC [LINK to anchor] is the only option to get conditional admission in most VCC programs. Alternatively, apply after obtaining sufficient External English Tests [LINK to anchor] scores.
I’m still studying at high school in B.C. Can I apply for conditional admission?
Conditional admission [LINK to ANCHOR] for many VCC programs may be available for B.C. Grade 12 students based on transcript evaluation. To confirm admissibility, submit a complete application [LINK to ANCHOR] with interim transcripts and report cards for evaluation.
Qualified applicants may receive a Letter of Offer if program seats are available. If program seats are full or reserved, qualified applicants may receive a waitlist notification. Students usually receive a notification within the application processing timeframe [LINK TO ANCHOR] regarding their application status.
