Your donation helps students build meaningful careers through skills-based training. Every gift over $20 receives a tax receipt.

Monthly donations help students year-round while supporting campus programs and reducing administrative and environmental costs.

As a monthly donor, you’ll receive:

• One consolidated tax receipt each year
• Tax credits directly on your T4 (for payroll donors)
• Updates through our newsletters, reports, and event invites

VCC faculty and staff support students daily, in the classroom and beyond. Monthly giving is another way to make a difference by funding the tools, resources, and support students need to succeed.

Each November, during our Giving Tuesday campaign, the college and Foundation match employee donations, doubling your impact. In 2022, over 100 VCC employees gave to scholarships, bursaries, and student projects.

How your gift helps
$10/month = $120/year funds one Student Hamper
$25/month = $300/year supports an Emergency Bursary
$42/month = $500/year creates a named scholarship, bursary, or award

We’ll send a personal message to the honouree (the gift amount stays private), and you’ll receive an acknowledgment, too.

A legacy gift is a powerful way to support future VCC students. By planning now, you help ensure lasting access to education for years.

Common ways to leave a legacy gift:

• Include the VCC Foundation in your Will
• Name the Foundation as a beneficiary of your RRSP, RRIF, or TFSA

Donate your shares of stock

Donating stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares is a simple and tax-effective way to support VCC. Instead of giving cash, you can transfer publicly listed securities and enjoy significant tax savings.

When you donate securities to the Vancouver Community College Foundation, you receive a tax receipt for their full market value and pay no capital gains tax. The result is a larger impact for students and a lower after-tax cost for you.

You can give any amount, during your lifetime or through your Will. Most securities are transferred electronically through your brokerage to ours.
