About PDO Team

Over the years, we’ve partnered with a wide range of community and industry groups. We believe in shared ownership and close collaboration to co-create innovative projects that reflect our common goals. It starts with listening—understanding the needs of the labour market, our partners, and the community. From there, we work with partners to design and deliver tailored projects that always put learners first. We aim to be responsive, service-oriented, and flexible to meet diverse needs.

Our projects aim to break down barriers and create better access to jobs, community, and further post-secondary education. We focus on work that reflects VCC’s values, goals, and learning programs.

We specialize in designing programs for diverse students—like newcomers, youth, mature workers, people with disabilities, and Indigenous learners—who may face challenges with traditional education.

Every project is built around the unique needs of learners and available funding. We take a care-based approach with supportive instructors, small class sizes, student coaching, and wraparound services.

We welcome different types of partnerships. Sometimes we lead the project and bring in our partners’ expertise. Other times, we support delivery as a training partner or subcontractor.
