When you’re ready, we’re here to listen and support
If you or someone you know has experienced sexual violence, help is here. If there’s an urgent safety concern, call 9-1-1. On campus, also contact security:
- Downtown: 604.443.8361
- Broadway: 778.783.5020
You can report an incident, share your experience, or get support on your terms.
Report an incident
What are your options? You can choose to disclose what happened or make a formal report. There is no pressure either way.
- Disclose: Share your story to be heard, supported, or connected to resources. No investigation follows.
- Report: Start a formal process that may include an investigation and college response.
You can disclose first and report later if you choose.
What to expect when reporting
If you decide to make a report, here’s what happens:
- You meet privately with VCC’s safety team
- You can bring a support person
- You choose how much to share
- You can stop the process at any time
- You’ll get help understanding next steps and available support
There is no deadline to report, though time can affect investigations.
