What is the Board of Governors?
The Board of Governors is responsible for setting the college’s strategic direction and ensuring it fulfills its public mandate. As a publicly funded institution, VCC is accountable to the communities we serve, and our Board ensures this commitment is upheld.
Board members bring diverse experience and perspectives to key decisions about VCC’s operations, priorities, and sustainability. Together, they help create a strong, inclusive future for the college and its students.

Leads board development and HR oversight
Campus planning
Provides direction on capital planning and infrastructure
