​​Students are introduced to the dental profession, the fundamental principles of professionalism, and the evolving scope of practice for the Certified Dental Assistant in relation to the dental team and client management. Concepts of equity, diversity and inclusion along with principles of cultural safety and humility are explored.​ Vancouver Community College gratefully acknowledges the invaluable contribution of Camosun College for sharing their curriculum for the new Certified Dental Assisting program.
