The Cross‐Trade Pathways HMT Course is Heavy Mechanical Trades Level 1 and 2 compressed course, designed for experienced trades workers to gain advancement or certification in Heavy Mechanical Trades. It is aimed at reducing the training time needed for experienced trades workers.
Content includes HMT Level 1 and Level 2 as per the SkilledTradesBC HMT apprenticeship program outlines.
Prerequisites
Prior industry experience in a related trade. Participants have one of the following:
- Certification in a related trade and interest in pursuing dual certification
- Significant work experience in a project trade
- International training and experience in a trade with related skills
