This course will expose students to the fundamental components of business law. The course examines the legal principles pertaining to business such as torts, negligence, business ownership, employment law, Indigenous law, personal, real, and intellectual property and electronic commerce. Case decisions will be examined to help students develop an appreciation of how the Canadian legal system works in actual practice.
