This course enables learners to develop and apply foundational knowledge, skills and attitudes in population and public health principles and strategies to a novice level that enable individuals, groups, communities and populations to improve their health and well-being and reduce inequities.   This course prepares the learner for Community Practice.

  • Community program planning to address heatlh inequities
  • Community development and capacity building
  • Impacts of colonization on the health and well being of the Indigenous people of Canada
