This course introduces students to the pharmacy technician's role in providing pharmacy services in community pharmacy practice. Students will learn to process prescriptions, apply third party insurance plans, maintain accurate records, and ensure prescription accuracy. Students will discuss common issues pertaining to pharmacy security. During the lab component, students will build proficiency in pharmacy software and dispensing skills.
