Course outline View

In this course, students will create complete, partial and immediate dentures, as well as overdentures. The course will include working with these dentures in a variety of situations and degrees of difficulty. Maxillofacial prostheses will also be discussed. Traditional and digital applications will be integrated into the design and fabrication processes.

  • Concepts and principles related to creating Class 1 complete dentures (Analog and Digital)
  • Introduction to semi-adjustable articulators
  • Introduction to facebows and intraoral Gothic Arch tracing system
  • Concepts and principles when creating removable partial, immediate and over dentures (Analog and Digital)
  • Principles of rotational path of insertion for removable partial dentures
  • Concepts and principles of complete and partial denture repairs.
