What you will learn

  • MOVIES: Why we love them, when we don’t; genre, theme, heroes and villains
  • CHARACTER: archetypes, relationships, conflict, character arc, growth, agenda, motive, voice
  • STORY: theme, plot, story arc, cause and effect, sequencing, act structure
  • EXECUTION I: act structure (applied); beat sheet to treatment
  • EXECUTION II: formatting, action and description, dialogue
  • STORY EDITING: script breakdown via constructive deconstruction; workshopping; receiving, filtering and applying feedback
