This 6 hour interactive workshop examines how to teach vocabulary. The selection and sequence of vocabulary instruction is examined, learned, and applied. Topics include how to introduce new vocabulary, general rules and guidelines for teaching vocabulary, as well as creative and thought-provoking vocabulary development activities.

What you will learn

  • Session 1: An introduction to how vocabulary is learnt and practical demonstration of materials.
  • Session 2: Further discussion of resouces and methodology for introducing and practising vocabulary in the ESL classroom
